We’re so excited to be working on a few recipes with Johnny Meatless this month, and what could be a better way to kick off than with a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake.
Naturally sweetened with dates and banana, you wouldn’t even be wrong if you wanted to have this for breakfast (maybe throw in a couple of tablespoons of protein powder if you do!) We’re especially excited to be enjoying these as the weather starts to get warmer and we can sit outside, snickerdoodle milkshake by our side, soaking up the sun.
- 3-4 frozen bananas (cut into chunks)
- 5-6 frozen pitta dates
- 400ml Good Hemp Seed Milk
- 2 1/2 tsp peanut butter
- 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted peanuts
- 1 1/2 tsp cacao powder
- Optional toppings
- Non-dairy whipped cream
- Peanut butter
- Chocolate sauce (2 tsp cacao powder + 4 tsp agave syrup)
- Crushed peanuts
Pour 200ml milk into a blender, now gradually add all the ingredients. Add the bananas, dates, peanut butter, cacao powder and the remaining milk. Before blending, give it a quick shake so all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Blend until smooth and enjoy!
