Vanilla Hemp & Açai Dairy-free Ice Lollies

This dairy-free ice lolly recipe is about to save you from your heatwave hysteria. Now that we’ve finally accepted that this weather is here to stay, the conversation has moved on from “can you believe this heat?!” to “what on earth do you eat in this heat?!” Luckily, Phoebe from Natural Nourishment is here to save the day with her dairy-free ice-lollies with good hemp drink (chilled or ambient) and açai purée from Boa Vida.

2-3 hours

Add 3/4 of the hemp drink to a bowl or jug and whisk in the vanilla powder. Pour into your lolly moulds filling them a quarter of the way. Put in the freezer for 45 minutes.


After 35 minutes, take your açai out of the freezer and hit on a hard work-surface to break up the block inside. Roughly chop into pieces and add to a high speed blender with the remaining hemp drink, the cinnamon and banana (if using).


Take your lolly moulds out of the freezer, add the açai layer, then pop them back in for about 15 minutes.


Add the remaining hemp drink layer to finish, pop in your sticks and leave to freeze completely for 2-3 hours. Then keep cool and enjoy!
