It’s National CBD Day

If you’re new to the CBD game, lets start from the beginning.

CBD is a natural chemical compound extracted from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant. We’ve combined it with a cold-pressed hemp seed oil and packaged it up into little tincture bottles. Two to three drops under the tongue, and away you go. Our newer soft capsules are also great as the size and the ingredients of this food supplement make it quick to dissolve and easy to administer on the regular and you will know exactly how much CBD you’re taking at a time as they come in two different strengths. You’re in for a treat today as we have 40% off our range!

But what is CBD supposed to do?

Remember homeostasis from Biology GCSE? Well that’s pretty much the goal of CBD – to help maintain a stable environment for the body. It works with the body’s endocannabinoid system to activate receptors in the brain, which control things like mood, temperature and pain. If the body is out of whack, CBD will set to work on putting you back on track. Do you remember that meme that says “I’ve got 99 problems and CBD solves like 98 of them”. We couldn’t sum it up better ourselves.

Scour the internet and you’ll find hundreds of testimonials with people using CBD for everything from bad sleep and anxiety to pain relief and muscle repair. We’re interested in the impact that it has on skin, heart and mental health. We know that our omega-rich hemp products are already reducing inflammation and blood pressure, but topping up with our CBD drops is the helping hand they might need. Then there’s the fact that CBD has been reported to reduce anxiety and depression and increase quality of sleep.

What’s the difference between our different CBD oils?

All CBD drops are made from high quality full spectrum CBD but the 2000mg is stronger. If you’re new to CBD we suggest starting with 250mg and working your way up to 1000mg and then 2000mg. At Good Hemp we also 2 different flavours if the natural one isn’t for you, our 250mg bottles also come in citrus and peppermint flavour.

Why is Good Hemp’s CBD the best?

It is made by the experts:

We’ve been growing hemp in our back garden (it’s a big one, usually known as a farm) for over 20 years, so CBD is nothing new to us. Back in the 90s not many people knew what CBD was, however fast forward to 2021 (which still feels weird to write) and even your nan is asking you what cannabinoids are and if they can help with her arthritis (spoiler: it can). As the hemp experts we’re here to answer any of your or your nan’s questions and provide you with safe, high quality CBD that you can trust.

Pure CBD oil free from THC:

There are three common types of CBD extracts available, each with different benefits and distinctions – so you’ll feel slightly different depending on which type you use. The one we use at Good Hemp is CBD isolate. This means it only contains CBD and no other cannabinoids, for example THC. In simple terms, it swerves the hallucinogenic compound and allows you to enjoy the benefits of pure CBD. Whilst CBD can be harvested from THC high strains of hemp colloquially known as marijuana, ours comes from industrial hemp crops which are naturally low in THC. These are the same plants that grow the hemp seed our milks, oils and proteins are made from! CBD is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant, which – fun fact – breathes in four times more CO2 than trees! A totally natural CBD product that’s not only good for people, but the planet too? WIN.

Free from psychoactive effects:

To ensure all of our CBD products are both safe and effective, we ensure all CBD extract we use is thoroughly lab tested. These tests ensure that there are no contaminants in our CBD, that it contains little to no traces of THC and that our products contain the exact amount of CBD as labelled. These assurances allow us to be confident that our CBD can help you reap the benefits you’re after, of which there can be many. Many people who use it find it particularly beneficial for muscle pain relief, inflammation reduction, improving concentration – and most popularly, for its calming properties, helping us busy bees relax and stay centred amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A few key benefits include:

  • Relieving pain from sore muscles to inflammation, arthritis, spinal injuries and more
  • Having positive neuroprotective benefits for disorders including Parkinson’s and Alzheimers
  • Reducing anxiety and stress
  • Reducing blood pressure
  • Improving skin
  • Improving heart health
  • Treating acne
