Carrot Cake Oatmeal:
These overnight “proats” (protein oats) have all the yummy flavours of carrot cake, from cinnamon to maple syrup the oats have it all but you can also add extra spices like nutmeg and ginger if you want make it that extra bit special. Despite tasting like a carrot cake, these overnight carrot cake oats are actually packed full of goodness, thanks to our little hemp seeds. Our hemp seed hearts are light and nutty, and can be used in pretty much every way imaginable. We remove the shells (they don’t taste great and get stuck in your teeth) but other that, it’s just little hemp seeds in a nice pouch. Inside the seeds, it’s a different story. They’re full of all sorts of good, packed with protein, fibre and omega 3, aka the three things you’re constantly being told you need more of.
Creamy Hemp Pasta:
The ultimate comfort meal, we all need a creamy pasta once in a while, especially at this time of year. It soothes the soul. When making a plant-based creamy sauce you’ll always need 3 things- a plant milk, nutritional yeast (aka nooch) and silken tofu, giving it the perfect creamy taste and texture. In this recipe, we’re adding some vegan cheeze, lemon juice and soy sauce to add flavour, along with a load of extra veg. This dish is packed full of omega-3 as the recipe includes our Good Hemp Seed Milk and our Hemp Seeds – omega-3s are nutrients you get from food that help keep your body health. Omega-3 is key to the structure of all the cells in your body and they are a great energy source and help keep your heart, lungs, blood vessels, and immune system working the way they should.
Spiced Chocolate Tart:
This is a simple and delicious spiced chocolate tart, loaded with hemp for optimum flavour and focus. Perfect for gathering with friends or making ahead of time and enjoy through the week. What makes this dessert autumnal is the chai spiced chocolate ganache, the ganache is spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and star anise, giving the ganache a rich flavour that goes perfectly with a cup of tea whilst your all cosy on the sofa watching a film. This dessert is also packed full of hemp seeds, to find out more about the nutritional value of hemp seeds, we have lots more articles that go into more depth.

There’s no better meal in the colder month than soup, especially when it’s homemade. Warming, nourishing and incurring very little washing up, this is a great mid-week recipe when it’s chilly outside. This recipe only takes 10 minutes to prep and takes 50 minutes to cook, but if you make a large batch then it will only take a couple of minutes to heat up and bam you have a delicious lunch in under 5 minutes.
