Cacao and Banana Porridge
As the days get shorter and colder, we’re starting to crave meals that warm us up (as well as tasting good!) Porridge is the perfect colder weather breakfast, and one that you never get bored of when there are so many ways of making it. We love this Cacao and Banana Porridge by Luce Hosier (aka What Luce Eats), it’s smooth and chocolatey at the same time as being super healthy. Luce used our Hemp Protein Fibre Boost to add a load of extra goodness to this recipe, keeping you going throughout the day.
- 55g oats
- 1 tbsp Hemp Protein Fibre Boost
- 250ml hemp milk
- 1 tbsp of cacao powder
- Toppings- 1/2 banana (sliced), grated dark chocolate, 1 tbsp of almond butter, 1 teaspoon of good hemp seeds
Start by adding the oats and 200ml of hemp milk to a pan on a medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes stirring frequently.
Next add the hemp protein, cacao powder and rest of the milk and combine. Cook, stirring frequently for another 5 minutes. Add more milk should you want runnier oats.
Finish by pouring into a bowl, topping with banana, almond butter, grated dark chocolate and hemp seeds. Enjoy!
